Seasons' Greetings:“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.” (Philippians 2:9) Welcome to aboveeveryname.com!Fall is here. The leaves have changed colors and the wind has picked up speed, blowing just a little harder than normal. It's a new season: a time for fresh opportunities and a renewed mindset. As humans, we tend to be overwhelmed with a host of emotions. We're sometimes happy and sometimes sad. Sometimes excited, other times angry. In the whole kaleidoscope of our human reactions, however, one thing is for sure: we will have to endure seasons. What is your most exciting season? Spring, winter, summer, or fall? Think about how you feel during this season. Do you get a sense of accomplishment, happiness, or joy? What about your worst season? How does this make you feel? Just as we have physical seasons, we also have spiritual seasons in our lives. King Solomon tells us in Ecclesiastes 3 that there is a season for everything. He talks about times of joy, pain, gain, and loss. If we would come to recognize and understand our spiritual seasons, then our marriages, friendships, businesses, and ministries would function better, and last longer. Why? Because we would realize those things will not remain the same and that adjusting to life's changes is necessary. Kim Brooks, author of the novel, He's Fine, But Is He Saved? understands the purpose of seasons. Her harvest has come and we will see how she is enjoying her season in Author Interviews. We'll share in Evangelistic Tips how important it is in every season to remain confident in Jesus Christ. As Christians, we need to understand the significance of seasons in our lives. When you have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, you allow Him to speak to your heart; then He reveals your season and the purpose for the season you are in right now. While everyday may not be sunny and shiny, for instance, we must learn to appreciate the rain because it helps us to grow. During these times of uncertainty and in some cases, isolation, we should take time to reflect. We should see how God is moving. I say this because I have learned to be content. As I have come to trust God in every season of my life and appreciate what He's doing, I've given Him the chance to speak and move on my behalf. You can do the same. He's just a prayer away and He wants you to seek Him and wait to hear from Him. Try it today! Meet the Author of www.aboveeveryname.com:
