CONFIDENCE IN JESUS CHRIST FOR SEEKERS AND BELIEVERS

If you were to die today, are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven?

If your answer is “NO”, click on “Seekers

If your answer is “YES”, click on “Believers

To The Seekers:

I have a friend who grew up in the church with me. I was shocked to hear that she embraced another type of faith outside of the Christian church. When I asked her why she left the church to pursue something else, she told me the main reason was “structure”. Many of her questions were not being answered in the church, and there seemed to be no change in her life.

Like my friend, a lot of people have some realistic questions. They are searching. They want to be committed to something or someone who will give them peace, hope, and forgiveness. They have a void that needs to be filled, so they tend to follow the next greatest religious phenomenon, whatever this may be at the time. There are many religions in the world today, but they require so much effort. They seem good at first, but many times following religion leads to frustration.

People need to know that God is real and that He has a way, which is right. They need to know that God is committed to loving them and being with them in spite of what they've done. They need to understand that He will stick with them in good times and bad.

Does this sound like you? Do you find yourself wondering why your life hasn't changed since you've been in the church? What about Jesus Christ? Is He really the only Way to God?

If you want to know how to receive true forgiveness and complete assurance that you will spend eternity in heaven, here are 3 easy steps that will help you:

The first step:

1) You must agree with God's Word by realizing that you are a sinner . If we're honest with ourselves, we all have issues. Everyone has said, thought, or done something they have felt bad or guilty about. The Bible, God's Word, gives us a reason for these things. God says that “. . . all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) This is why we find ourselves saying and doing things that are not good. We may try to be perfect, but it is impossible to do on our own.

The next step:

2) Realize that Jesus became your Substitute by dying on the cross to forgive you of your sins. The Bible says , “. . . while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. ” (Romans 5:8) God's punishment for sin was death. He is a loving God, but He is also just. Someone had to die for your sins. Jesus Christ, Who is God in the flesh, died for your sins. He was the only Person who could satisfy God's death penalty. He died in your place and on the third day He rose from the grave. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

You may be wondering, “With all the bad things I have done, why would Jesus do this for me?” One word: “Love.” The love of Jesus is what caused Him to die on the cross for your sins. In God's sight, you are special and you mean so much to Him. He knows you've been through a lot and He's waiting for you to come to Him. He promises that He will give you rest, but you have to choose Him.

The final step:
You must choose to be in a relationship with Jesus Christ by saving faith .

What is saving faith?

This means that you have made a conscious decision to trust in the death of Christ to be the only thing that can pay for your sins, and thus give you entrance into heaven. You weren't there 2,000 years ago when Jesus died, but you believe it. The Bible tells us, “…you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works…”
(Ephesians 2:8,9)

If you have accepted what Jesus has done for you, then you have received the gift of eternal life. What do you say when someone gives you a gift? You say, “Thank you.”

What do you thank Jesus for?

1)  Loving you by dying on the cross for your sins.

2) Making the way to salvation easy by accepting Him through faith.

3) Promising to always be with you.

Congratulations on beginning a new and permanent relationship with Jesus Christ!

To The Believers:

As Christians, we have the responsibility of dealing with people who are seeking to know the truth about God. Do we have enough confidence in Christ to believe that He can truly change their lives forever?

By faith, we come to know Christ, but the journey doesn't stop there. As Bible believing Christians, God desires for us to walk by faith on a daily basis. This is not a religion, but it's a relationship, which is only possible to embrace by the help of God.

God's Word tells us to share Jesus with others; but we are also called to share Jesus with a boldness and confidence that will convince people that Jesus works for everyone, including them.

Christian brothers and sisters what do we really believe? Are we able to declare the truth about Jesus Christ, that He is the only Way to God? Or do we doubt what He says about the saving power of the Gospel?

It's a natural fear to share our faith with someone, especially when the person is resistant. Nevertheless, we are called to share the truth about Jesus Christ in season and out of season, whether people want to hear it or not.

You may be asking, “How can I share my faith? I know what it takes to accept Christ, but I don't know how to lead others to Christ.”

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not a complicated thing to share.

God says in His Word that He will have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. God is willing to reach us where we are in order to have a personal relationship with us. This means that the Gospel message must become personal to everyone with whom we share.

How can you share it?

Here are a few steps to guide you through this:

1)  Find a common ground between you and the person. Ask questions and find out about the person's likes and hobbies.

2) Your testimony: Tell how good God has been to you. Let them know that you haven't always been where you are today. Let them know you are 100% confident that you will spend eternity in heaven.

Share the following points based on Scripture:

3)  Sin is universal. It affects everyone and everyone is born a sinner, no matter how “good” they seem to be. (Romans 3:23)

4)  God loves us and He wants a relationship with us; so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins. (Romans 5:8)

5)  Jesus Christ is the only way to God. (John 14:6)

6)  We can enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ by accepting His death on the cross by faith. (Ephesians 2:8,9)

Through the power of God, your love, testimony, and words, people will come to know Jesus in a personal way. They will get answers to their questions and learn about the God who loves them with no strings attached.

Do you have enough confidence to share this Jesus with a world of people who are seeking to know the truth?
